OPEN TO ALL: Ralph Lauren kicked off the second installment of the global tour for its four-stop immersive holiday experience in London‘s affluent Sloane Square over the weekend, with the original song “A Little Time.”
Commissioned by Ralph Lauren, the number was performed by the Capital Children’s Choir and the London Youth Choir during the Chelsea Christmas lights switch-on celebration on King’s Road.
The score was written and composed by British musician Gareth Malone, and is inspired by the patients and staff of The Royal Marsden, one of the world’s leading cancer centers. Malone said the song serves as a reminder that giving even “a little time” can make a meaningful difference in the lives of others.
All proceeds from the streaming and downloads of the song, with some 10 percent of proceeds from activities within the Ralph Lauren Holiday Experience, will benefit the Royal Marsden Cancer Charity, an organization that has been supported by Ralph Lauren’s Pink Pony initiative.
For the next six weeks the Ralph Lauren-branded Holiday Experience is open to the public and features the largest-ever brand installation on Sloane Square, which includes a holiday-themed barn that will host a variety of activities such as wreath-making workshops, a florist-in-residence on select weekdays, artisan cookie decorating, and a Father Christmas experience.
The brand also brought over its popular Ralph’s Coffee concept, serving hot beverages, mulled wine, and some of Ralph Lauren’s favorite treats, including brownies, s’mores cookies, and hot dogs.
Next to the barn, there is a holiday shop with a selection of items ideal for the season, like candles, caps, and Polo classics.
Prior to London, the immersive holiday experience bowed in Seoul on Nov. 1 in the Seongsu-dong District. The holiday experience will then move to Tokyo Midtown, Nov. 26 to Dec. 24, and West Hollywood in Los Angeles from Dec. 5 to 7.
