MIGRANTS who refuse to work or break the law will lose their benefits in a borders crackdown.
And artificial intelligence will be used to spot those pretending to be children.
Home Secretary Shabana Mahmood is promising the biggest overhaul of asylum policy in a generation.
She believes illegal migrants are coming to Britain because we have a soft-touch system.
Ms Mahmood said: “This country has a proud tradition of welcoming those fleeing danger.
“But our generosity is drawing illegal migrants across the Channel.

“The pace and scale of migration is placing immense pressure on communities.
“This week I will set out the most sweeping changes to our asylum system in a generation.
“We will restore order and control to our borders.”
Asylum seekers are legally entitled to free housing and benefit payments.
They are also allowed to work if their claim takes longer than 12 months to assess.
Under the reforms, asylum seekers allowed to work will be expected to — and will lose their benefits if they refuse.
Those who break the law will also lose their handouts.
Meanwhile, The Sun on Sunday can reveal that AI tech will assess migrants’ ages and weed out those who pretend to be children to stay in Britain.
Ms Mahmood vowed to “end the soft-touch approach” and find those who game the system.
Refugee ‘child’ win
AN asylum seeker who claimed to be 15 — even though a council believed he was 24 — was a child, a judge has ruled.
The Sudanese, who arrived last year, insisted he was born in 2009.
His deep voice, receding hair and prominent Adam’s apple and jaw left Westminster Council unconvinced.
But an immigration judge has accepted his story and told the council to offer him support.
Judge Melissa Canavan said she still had some doubts he was telling the truth and refused to award £85,000 costs sought by his lawyers.
