If you make fried eggs, pancakes, or fish at home, chances are you’ve used nonstick cookware. Without it, sticky foods either require a lot of fat (olive oil or otherwise) and cooking know-how, or they don’t release from the cooking surface at all. The question is: Are your nonstick pots and pans free from harmful forever chemicals? You’re in luck, because we’ve tested several top-rated egg pans, and one of our favorites, the Le Creuset Essential Nonstick Ceramic Fry Pan, is just the PFAS-free solution you need. Oh, and by the way, we found it at its lowest price ever at Amazon.
Le Creuset Essential Nonstick Ceramic Fry Pan

Le Creuset’s ceramic fry pan marries stainless steel-clad performance with nonstick capability. Made of a heavy-gauge aluminum core and a stainless steel body, the pan is coated with a PFAS-free ceramic layer that shoppers call “completely nonstick.” Plus, its heat reactivity amazed us during testing, changing from low to medium-high heat quickly and evenly. As we’d expect from the brand that makes our favorite stainless steel cookware, the 7.75-inch ergonomic handle also performed well, staying cool and comfortable while cooking.
We appreciate the durability of this pan. It’s oven-safe up to 550°F and metal utensil-safe. You can even throw it in the dishwasher — though hand-washing is recommended. Just be sure to follow our nonstick safety rules to keep the pan in tip-top shape (and note that while Le Creuset markets this pan as “PFAS-free,” it does not disclose its complete chemical composition). A rounded lip reinforces the edges, preventing warping and facilitating smooth transfers of food from pan to plate. In testing, only minute traces of browning kept this skillet from earning the very top spot on our list of egg pans, but it’s still one worth buying at its rare, discounted price.
A 20% discount may not sound like much, but Le Creuset’s reputation for exceptional cookware brings very few discounts to its storefronts. In particular, this nonstick ceramic-coated fry pan is barely ever marked down, so this is your rare opportunity to invest in a pan that will treat your ingredients right on the stovetop — whether that’s electric, gas, or induction. Snag yourself a 10-inch pan, or any of the sizes from 8 to 12 inches, before the sale ends, and you’ll be well-prepared for any delicate cooking tasks through the holiday season and beyond.
