For savings the first £6,000 of your savings is not counted as income.

For savings between £6,001 and £16,000 each £250 (or part of £250) means £4.35 will be taken from your monthly Universal Credit award.

If you’re on furlough because your employer has no work for you, you can get up to 80 percent of your wages paid through the Coronavirus Job Retention Scheme.

That is up to a monthly limit of £2,500 and you don’t have to do anything as your employer takes care of this.
