Ighalo offered new contract by Shanghai
Odion Ighalo has been offered a bumper £400,000-a-week contract extension by Shanghai Shenhau.
The Nigerian striker is on loan at Manchester United, and wants to make the move permanent should United be interested in doing so.
Chelsea linked with Donnarumma
The Blues are being linked with a move for the AC Milan goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma with Frank Lampard unconvinced over Kepa Arrizabalaga.
The Spaniard lost his place as the Blues’ first-choice stopper after a series of below-par displays, with Willy Caballero placed in goal before Kepa returned to the line-up.
Donnarumma has yet to sign a new contract with Milan and is valued at over €60m (£54.3m).
It’s certainly not uncommon for young players to dream of playing for Real Madrid and Lyon’s teenage sensation Rayan Cherki is no different.
The 16-year-old has broken into the first-team for the Ligue 1 outfit this season and his displays have drawn admirers from Europe’s elite.
The French starlet, when interviewed by Lyon’s YouTube channel, was asked where he would like to play in his career. Boldly, the youngster answered: “At Real [Madrid]”.
If he continues on his current path, that dream could soon become a reality.
Tottenham midfielder Tanguy Ndombele could be offered a way out of the club by Barcelona less than a year after his club-record move from Lyon.
The 23-year-old has fallen foul of boss Jose Mourinho after the French midfielder was hauled off after 45 minutes against Burnley, with the Portuguese publicly criticising his performance.
The Mirror report that Barcelona sporting director Eric Abidal is an admirer of Ndombele and the Catalans are monitoring his situation should Spurs decide to cut their losses on the £65m man.

Manchester United are hoping to snatch Ajax midfielder Donny van de Beek from under the noses of Real Madrid, according to reports in Spain.
Van de Beek has been tipped to join the LaLiga giants in the summer in a reported £50 million deal but Marca’s latest update on the transfer battle claims the 22-year-old is weighing up other offers.
The report goes on to say that United have submitted an offer to tempt the Netherlands international into moving to Old Trafford.
What a signing that would be!

Former Aston Villa striker Emile Heskey has urged the club’s captain Jack Grealish to join Manchester United this summer.
Grealish has been one of the Premier League’s stars of the season despite Villa facing a relegation battle, and helped them reach the EFL Cup final last month.
The 24-year-old has been heavily linked with a summer transfer to Old Trafford to join Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side, and Heskey believes it would be a good move all round.
“I think Jack Grealish would do well at Manchester United,’ Heskey told GentingBet. “He’s a commanding midfielder and the kind that they’ve missed recently.
“They have it now in Fernandes but having another one alongside him who could drive from the midfield – that’s Jack all over.
“But Jack can play in several different positions very well. He would do very well at Manchester United.”
MAN CITY NEWS
The agent of Gabriel Jesus has refused to rule out speculation linking the Manchester City striker with a move to Juventus.
The Brazilian has scored 18 goals in all competitions this season despite a low number of starts for City and is seen by many as Sergio Aguero’s long-term successor.
But agent Giovanni Branchini says the 22-year-old could be tempted by a move to Juventus, admitting “everything is possible”.
He told Calciomercato: “We are talking about a great footballer and a great club, everything is possible.
“I am convinced that he will stay at City as long as City want him, as long as the team wants to maintain a certain type of profile.
“The only hypothesis I see is that if the owners should reduce their commitment or ambitions – which I don’t think will happen – he will accept the farewell, but he will never want to leave.”
Chelsea winger Pedro says he wants to stay at Chelsea but admits his future is uncertain with his contract set to expire in the summer.
The 32-year-old was quoted by several outlets claiming he had decided to terminate his contract. But the Spaniard clarified his remarks and says he was misquoted in his interview with Cadena SER.
“As many people know, my contract is up in May,” the winger told Chelsea’s official website. “But I still haven’t spoken to the club about whether or not it will be renewed and whether I’ll carry on.
“I’ve seen loads of messages from Chelsea fans saying goodbye and thanking me for the time I’ve spent here, which I appreciate, but I’d like to tell all the fans simply that my current contract is coming to an end but I still have to talk to the club.
“I don’t know whether I’ll keep playing here or not. That conversation is still to come. But I have not signed for any other club. I belong to Chelsea. I have a contract.
“My wish is to be able to stay here but obviously we don’t know what will happen. I have to speak to the club and let’s see what happens.”
CRYSTAL PALACE NEWS
In our Crystal Palace Q&A earlier today, our reporter Jack Rosser answered questions on who the Eagles could target to add to their squad this summer. Here’s what he said…
“Palace remain very confident of landing Nathan Ferguson – who will be available on a free when his contract comes to an end this year – after his move from West Brom collapsed in January following complications over his medical.
“Furthermore, they’ll want to add some firepower up top having added Cenk Tosun before losing him to injury. The club have been keen on the Turkish striker for a number of years and could return for him should a full recovery be made, but they’ll certainly be looking at other options.
“A wide forward was also considered in January and remains a position in which the club would like to strengthen. An enquiry was made over Ebere Eze at QPR in January but taken no further while they have long been admirers of Ollie Watkins at Brentford. Whether the Bees gain promotion or not will play a big part in any move there.”
Liverpool are hoping to beat several clubs to the signing of Valencia starlet Ferran Torres by landing him on a free transfer next summer.
The 20-year-old has become a key part of the first team under Albert Celades and his performances have attracted attention from Real Madrid and Barcelona.
But Corriere dello Sport believe the Reds are hoping to steal a march on other Interested parties by allowing the Spanish outfit to keep him for another year, before landing the attacking midfielder on a free transfer in 2021.
The Italy international has been frozen out of the first team and has been linked with a summer move to reunite with Maurizio Sarri at Juventus.
But Emerson refuted claims made by Tuttosport he was unhappy at Stamford Bridge.
“The world is going through a really difficult moment and there are journalists who want to spread fake news around to have content,” he wrote on Instagram.
“I don’t speak too much, but here is my only and last statement regarding this news.
“I never said that and I think definitely the opposite of what was mentioned (without my knowledge). Respect and gratitude always. Enjoy your family.”
WEST HAM NEWS
Liverpool are reportedly looking to offload Loris Karius this summer with West Ham leading the race to sign the German goalkeeper.
The 27-year-old has spent the last 18 months on loan at Besiktas after being replaced as the Reds’ number one by Alisson Becker following a series of errors.
West Ham are on the lookout for competition for Lukasz Fabianski after a forgettable spell in goal for deputy Roberto when the Pole was injured and Karius, available for £4.5 million according to Voetbal 24, could fit the bill.
MAN CITY NEWS
Manchester City’s Champions League ban has already cost them heavily in terms of a fine and now reports in France suggest they could lose one of their key players in Kevin De Bruyne.
According to media outlet Sport Foot, the 28-year-old is “weighing up” his options and is stalling over a new contract as City face a two-season ban from European competition if they fail in their appeal to the CAS.
The report suggests Real Madrid have registered their interest and De Bruyne could be tempted to join fellow Belgians Eden Hazard and Thibaut Courtois at the Santiago Bernabeu.
MAN UTD NEWS
Manchester United are expected to honour the loan agreement with Sheffield United and allow Dean Henderson to finish the season.
The 23-year-old has enjoyed a consistent season for the Blades as they chase an unlikely European spot before the coronavirus forced the Premier League to call a temporary halt to the season.
But despite his loan ending in May, The Sheffield Star report United are unlikely to recall the England Under-21 international and will allow him to complete the campaign at Bramall Lane.
MAN CITY NEWS
Leeds United are hoping to tie up the signing of Manchester City midfielder Jack Harrison after his loan spell at Elland Road.
The Athletic report the 23-year-old, who has scored five goals and registered seven assists in 37 appearances this season, has convinced coach Marcelo Bielsa to push for a permanent deal.
The Championship outfit will therefore exercise their £8 million option to buy the former New York City winger.
Arsenal are still keeping tabs on Bournemouth winger Ryan Fraser ahead of a potential free transfer this summer.
The Scotland international’s current deal expires this summer after failing to agree terms on a new contract with the Cherries.
And the Gunners remain in the hunt to sign the 26-year-old, according to the Daily Mirror. However, any move could be affected by the PFA’s talks with the Premier League and EFL over extending contracts until the revised end of the season due to the coronavirus.
Tottenham and Manchester United are set for a transfer battle to secure the signature of Inter Milan defender Diego Godin.
Jose Mourinho is looking to bolster his defensive options with Jan Vertonghen’s future uncertain and the Portuguese has been a long-term admirer of Godin, 34, who has struggled for form since joining Inter from Atletico last summer.
The Mirror suggest Spurs will go head-to-head with United for the Uruguayan defender, has two years left on his current deal at the San Siro, with Valencia also keen to bring him back to Spain.
Mikel Arteta is looking at Valencia midfielder Carlos Soler, according to Sky Sports.
Soler, 23, is contracted to Valencia until 2023, but the Spanish club reportedly need to raise some serious funds to balance the books this summer.
MAN UTD NEWS
This could be bad news for Manchester United… Sky Sports reports that Odion Ighalo has been offered an incredible £400,000-a-week, two-year contract extension by Chinese Super League side Shanghai Shenhua.
Ighalo’s fine form for United has led to suggestions that the Red Devils could move to sign him permanently – but that offer from China would dwarf anything United would be prepared to pay.
Ighalo took a pay cut to join United on loan, but that offer will represent a tough choice if the Red Devils come up with a permanent offer as well.

When does the 2020 summer transfer window open?
The summer window opens in England at the end of the season – currently May 18, but that will almost certainly not be when it finishes due to Covid-19 delays.
Players can be officially registered with their new clubs when the Fifa international window opens on July 1.
From January 1 onwards, Premier League players with six months left on their contract have been able to negotiate and agree pre-contract deals with foreign clubs.
