Arsenal are among the clubs hunting further major signings as the new season approaches. The arrival of Mikel Merino is now said to be imminent to follow Riccardo Calafiori, with a whole host of attacking players still being linked with the Gunners too including Leroy Sane, Victor Osimhen and Viktor Gyokeres. Merino’s Real Sociedad and Spain team-mate Martin Zubimendi is believed to be eager to join Liverpool, with Manchester United understood to be targeting the likes of Sander Berge and Youssouf Fofana as midfield alternatives having failed to close a deal for Manuel Ugarte
