Milan left-back Theo Hernandez is a major doubt to feature for France against Italy in the Nations League, as he missed training today due to a knee issue.
It kicks off at San Siro on Sunday at 19.45 GMT and the Azzurri need just one point to be guaranteed first place in the Nations League group, which in turn gives them top seed status in the draw for the quarter-finals.
Les Bleus had their training session at the hallowed stadium this evening, largely shrouded in a thick fog that had descended over the city of Milan.
It was noted that Theo Hernandez merely stood to one side watching his teammates and did not participate in the routines.
According to reports, this is because he sustained a knock to the knee and was rested as a precaution.
This makes the Milan star a major doubt to feature at all in tomorrow’s match, having started the 0-0 draw with Israel on Thursday evening.
Coach Didier Deschamps said in his press conference that there would likely be some changes to that line-up when they play the final group game against Italy.
Instead, Lucas Digne is likely to start on the left side of defence, with former Juventus midfielder Adrien Rabiot.
Ousmane Dembélé and Wesley Fofana withdrew due to injury, so Kingsley Coman and Inter defender Benjamin Pavard were added to the group.
