Additional State Pension no-longer exists as a separate entity to the State Pension per the rules of the new State Pension.

The new programme applies to women born on or after April 6, 1953, or men born on or after the same date in 1951.

People will earn based on their national insurance contributions only, and the rate will change every year.

Currently, those on the pension can take a full amount of £175 thanks to changes brought around on April 6 this year.
