A murder investigation has been launched after an 18-year-old man was found with fatal stab injuries in south London.

Police were called to Corrance Road in Lambeth just before 2pm on Thursday to reports of a stabbing.

Paramedics battled to save his life but the teenager was pronounced dead at the scene at 2.41pm. 

A 17-year-old boy was arrested on suspicion of murder in nearby Tremadoc Road shortly after police arrived.

He has been taken into custody.

The victim’s family have been informed and a crime scene has been put in place.

Enquiries are ongoing.
