Kate Middleton took everyone by surprise when she wore a pair of £29.50 Marks and Spencer trainers during her visit to the London Stadium at the Olympic Park in February last year. After she was spotted in the stylish sneakers, the white trainers with green stripes instantly flew off the shelves. Luckily, M&S has introduced three new versions for shoppers to choose from this spring.
The new selection includes a white pair with zebra and black stripes, a navy version with rainbow colours, and silver with a pastel accent. All three include the same dash of sparkle Kate had on her pair.
All three are available for £29.50 each and are made with M&S’s Insolia Flex technology which has been endorsed by the UK College of Podiatrists to ensure they are super comfy.
Kate was seen wearing the trainers at an event to support SportsAid, a charity that helps young British sportsmen and women who are set to compete in the next Olympic, Paralympic, Commonwealth and World Champion games.
It comes as Marks and Spencer announced this week it is converting its café spaces into pop-up stores dedicated to selling Easter food and gifts.
M&S director of product development April Preston said: “Over the last year, we have seen customers making more of events than ever before as they seek out little moments of joy for them and their loved ones to break-up the challenges of lockdown.
“With this in mind, we want to make our ranges as accessible as possible – by making clever use of our closed café space and expanding our online offer to help customers deliver direct to loved ones too.”
Marks & Spencer has introduced a variety of new Easter products including plant based chocolate eggs and an Easter fun pack with items to prepare an Easter egg hunt.
