With a New Year in full swing, many royal fans are hoping that 2020 will be the year to see the return of the “Fab Four”, as Kate Middleton, Prince William, Meghan Markle, and Prince Harry were labelled previously before rumours of a growing rift between the royal couples was reported. Kate Middleton married Prince William in a highly televised wedding at Westminster Abbey in 2011.
Since their marriage, they have had three adorable children, Prince George, six, Princess Charlotte, four and Prince Louis, one.
Recently, the Cambridge couple posted a “year in review” video to their Instagram that grabbed the attention of many royal fans.
In the short two minutes 26-second video, the royal couple chose to include images from their royal tour to Pakistan, their recent appearance on TV with Mary Berry as well as images of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle as well as images from the birth of their nephew, Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor.
This was surprising for many fans as Kate and Meghan’s relationship over the last year could be described as rocky at times.
While many royal fans flooded the Cambridge’s Instagram account with positive comments of support and admiration, some fans were skeptical about whether Kate was hoping for too much with her simple “olive branch” gesture.
Royal blogger and enthusiast, Kate Disick, believes that the video uploaded to Instagram holds a secret message for Meghan in particular, and she told Express.co.uk that Kate is looking for a “New Year miracle” with Meghan Markle.
Speaking exclusively to Express.co.uk, she said: “The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge uploaded a clip showing their highlights and favourite moments of 2019.
“Some of their favourite moments depicted in the video would possibly surprise many royal fans given their [Kate and Meghan’s] turbulent relationship.”

“Including the images of baby Archie could be a way for the Cambridge’s to extend an olive branch to the Sussex’s,” Kate explained.
“This is such a subtle and elegant way of showing them [The Sussex royals] that they want things [their relationship] to be better between them, [this] year.
“However I do think Kate is looking for a New Year miracle, it’s very big of her to want to improve relationships between Meghan and herself. After all, Kate is a brilliant Queen-in-waiting. But, and I can only speculate, I don’t know if it’s too late. However, it would be great to see the fab four out in a united front again.”
The Sussexes and Cambridges, who had once been labeled as the Royal family’s “Fab Four”, spent Christmas apart this year, with William, Kate and their youngsters joining the Queen at Sandringham, Norfolk.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex spent their first Christmas as a family with Meghan’s mother Doria Ragland in Vancouver Island, Canada, fueling rift rumours further with their decision.
Their Christmas apart comes two months after Harry admitted in an ITV documentary that he and William aren’t as close as they once used to be.
Speaking on the documentary in October, the Prince refused to deny a falling out with his older brother when questioned about the rift rumours.
He told presenter Tom Bradby: “Part of this role, part of this job and this family being under the pressure it is under, inevitably stuff happens.
“But look, we are brothers, we will always be brothers. We are certainly on different paths at the moment but I will always be there for him and, as I know, he will always be there for me.
“We don’t see each other as much as we used to because we are so busy but I love him dearly and the majority of stuff is created out of nothing. As brothers, you have good days, you have bad days.”
However, according to an insider who spoke with US Weekly, Kate might also be hoping to change the relationship dynamics between the two royal couples and her children will be able to “spend more time” with their baby cousin, Archie.
An insider told US Weekly that Kate and Prince William’s three royal youngster’s “adore” Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s seven-month-old son.
The source said: “[The Duchess] is hoping that in the new year, the cousins will spend more time together.”
They added that Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis, “adore” Archie, but “like most children, they’re easily distracted and resilient”.
