Two 16-year-old boys have been rushed to hospital after being stabbed in broad daylight in east London.

Emergency services were scrambled to the scene in Ilford at about 5pm on Friday.

The boys were found in Willow Court, Loxford Lane, with stab injuries. They were both were taken hospital, one by ambulance and one by air ambulance.

The area around where the attack took place has been cordoned off by police while an investigation is carried out.

Scotland Yard said no arrests have been made.

A spokesman added: “We await an update on their conditions.

“At this early stage we retain an open mind as to motive. A crime scene is in place.”
