Nudie Snacks Salted Caramel Protein Balls have been recalled due to an allergy concern. Meanwhile, children jelly-based sweets Achachi Jelly Cups have been recalled over safety concerns.

Customers who have purchased Nudie Snacks Salted Caramel Brownie Protein Balls will be given a full refund.

They do not need to present a receipt.

Nudie Snacks Salted Caramel Protein Balls can be purchased from stores including Asda, Holland and Barrett, Whole Foods, Primark and Aldi.

A risk statement explains: “The product contains carrageenan which can present a choking hazard due to the consistency, solubility, shape and size and manner of consumption of the food.

“The product can be projected from the cup or capsule in one piece by exerting pressure at the tip and therefore can cause choking hazard.”

Yekta Foods has recalled the product, with point of sale notices now displayed in retail stores which sell Achachi Jelly Cups.

Customers are warned not to eat the sweets and to return them to the store whether they were purchased.
