It may have been a bumpy 2018-19 season for Real Madrid, but that does not stop Los Blancos from dominating the top 100 players’ list for FIFA 20.

Real had no less than three separate coaches last season, with Zinedine Zidane eventually returning to the Bernabeu after both Julen Lopetegui and Santiago Solari were sacked.

Despite finishing third in LaLiga – 19 points behind winners Barcelona – and being humiliated at home in the Champions League by Ajax, 12 Real players make the cut for EA Sports‘ list of the best players in world football.

Thibaut Courtois, Dani Carvajal, Marcelo, Sergio Ramos, Raphael Varane, Casemiro, Isco, Toni Kroos, Luka Modric, James Rodriguez, Karim Benzema and Eden Hazard – who signed from Chelsea this summer – will ensure Los Blancos are still a force to be reckoned with – at least virtually.

EA confirmed its full top 100 on Friday, but their ratings will be held over until 3pm BST on Monday. The full game will be released on September 27 on PC, PS4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch.

Leaked versions of the ratings appeared on social media as interest in the game’s release builds, with Lionel Messi apparently beating Cristiano Ronaldo to top spot.
