Boots is a retailer many people go to pick up their essential health and beauty products. The store already offers shoppers huge incentives with the Boots advantage card, but one thing can be done to save even more. One shopper managed to stock up on £198 worth of products for a very reasonable £16. She used Facebook to share her hack, what did she do?

After discovering the huge saving, the shopper posted on the Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK Facebook group to share her tips.

She bought nearly £200 worth of beauty products including two make-up brush cleaning trays, two large ‘blend and blur’ make-up brushes and a ‘miracle sponge’ all from the brand Real Techniques.

On top of this, the savvy shopper got her hands on four bottles of Piz Buin fake tan, Nivea shower gel and deodorant and four boxes of L’Oreal hair dye.

Finally, she topped off her basket with an Eyelure eyelash dying kit, two lip balms, a multipack of Kleenex tissues and Boots insect repellent.

The hefty shopping spree should have come to a total of £198, but the shopper reported she bought the lot for just over £16.

So, how did she manage to get such a good deal?

In her post on Facebook, the shopper explained she trawled the Boots clearance section in order to find herself a bargain.

The items were being reduced to clear, meaning she managed to get hold of them for a remarkable price.

When looking for cheap items, clearance bins are usually found at the end of aisles in Boots stores.

There are also sections on the Boots website for items which are on offer or reduced on clearance.
