Antoine Griezmann returns to the Wanda Metropolitano Stadium for the first time since his £107million move to Barcelona last summer, and will be expecting a fierce reception by the Atletico fans.
Both sides need a win to close the gap on LaLiga leaders Real Madrid, who are three-points ahead of Barca and six ahead of their local rivals Atletico.
Our Spanish Football Correspondent, Ben Hayward, is at the Wanda Metropolitano tonight.

55 mins: Incisive breakaway from Atleti as they attack down the left with Morata and his cross finds Correa, whose shot is charged down by Pique.
50 mins: Rakitic goes into the book for a rather needless challenge on Morata on the centre circle.
KICK OFF | SECOND HALF
We’re back underway in Madrid where the rain is still hammering down.
Ben Hayward on the first-half action…
“Atletico much more aggressive in the opening half an hour especially and should be in front, but Barca came back into it in the final 15 minutes before the break and Diego Simeone’s side may regret their missed chances. In a tight match, one goal could well decide this.”
HALF TIME | Atletico 0-0 Barcelona
It’s been a very entertaining half in Madrid with the hosts having the better of it, but both sides have hit the woodwork.
A quiet evening for Messi so far.
44 mins: Barca are finishing this half the stronger of the two sides as Firpo sees his effort charged down by Correa.
42 mins: Off the bar!
Pique so unlucky!
Now the woodwork comes to Atleti’s rescue. De Jong curls in the corner and Pique leaps high but sees his header bounce back off the crossbar.
40 mins: Fine save AGAIN from Ter Stegen!
Atleti have been so dangerous from corners and they so nearly take the lead again.
Koke whips it in, Morata rises high with a thumping header and Ter Stegen beats it away almost as if he’s playing volleyball! Another superb stop.
39 mins: Griezmann thinks he was fouled after a robust challenge from Koke and it did look a foul, but play continues.
Trippier and Correa combine down the right and it’s out for a corner.
36 mins: Suarez goes close!
The front three have come to life as Messi feeds it to Griezmann, who slips it inside to Suarez and on the bounce, the Uruguayan fires just wide of Oblak’s goal.
Ben Hayward at Wanda Metropolitano
“Atletico fans calling for bookings as Ivan Rakitic and then Gerard Pique make tactical fouls.
“Apart from a brief spell of possession a few minutes ago and a chance gifted to them by a Hector Herrera mistake, Ernesto Valverde’s side have barely existed as an attacking threat. The story of the Catalans’ season so fay away from home.”
33 mins: What a pass to find Messi down the right and his first touch is like velvet, cushioning the ball as if it was stuck to his boot.
But Atleti get men back quickly to block the Barca magician’s cross and it’s out for a corner.
31 mins: After letting Rakitic inexplicably get away without a booking, Mateu Lahoz pulls out the yellow card for Pique.
Ironic cheers from the home crowd.
30 mins: It’s been a perfect performance from Atletico so far… the only thing missing is a goal.
They’ve contained Messi, Griezmann and Suarez superbly.
26 mins: Rakitic denied!
Having said that, Atleti are guilty of giving possession away far too cheaply as Messi robs Trippier and squares it to Rakitic, who loses his balance on slippery surface and strikes straight at Oblak.
25 mins: It’s unusual to see Barcelona dominated so easily for possession by their opponents and their counter-attacking plan just isn’t working.
If it wasn’t for the post and Ter Stegen, they’d be 2-0 down.
Ben Hayward at Wanda Metropolitano
“Barcelona trying to put together some possession, but Atletico more aggressive so far and Diego Simeone’s side almost took the lead when Junior Firpo deflected a Mario Hermoso cross onto his own post earlier on.
“The Rojiblancos are also looking dangerous from set pieces and most of the play is taking place in Barca’s half at the moment.”
21 mins: Correa gets his name taken for a foul on De Jong. Bit harsh, that.
20 mins: What a save from Ter Stegen!
It’s Hermoso again who steals around the far post from a Morata cross and at point-blank range, the German stopper makes an incredible reaction save.
How are Atleti not in the lead?!
18 mins: Correa is causing Firpo all sorts of problems down the right and the Brazilian tugs him down right on the edge of the area. Yellow card.
Anyway, Saul fancies a strike at goal, as does the captain Koke.
